The Government has tabled 67 last-minute amendments to the Planning & Infrastructure Bill.‼️

Rushed through with little scrutiny, it’s a shambolic way to reform the planning system.

It creates confusion, sidelines science and leaves nature dangerously exposed.

(1/3)
A Wren stands upright on a mossy branch, beak open in full song, small but defiant. Against a soft golden blur, it seems to speak out for nature itself: a clear voice cutting through the noise, refusing to be ignored.

Latest report shows more bad news for butterflies 🦋 Several species on the ‘at risk’ list are found in Warwickshire - Small Skipper & Essex Skipper. The main threat is habitat loss so anything you can do in your own space can make a difference 🙏

🚨 The latest European Red List assessment has revealed 65 butterflies are now classed as 'at risk', several of which are species found in the UK.

Urgent action is needed to reverse the declining population of butterflies.

Yes I've seen the pub. Was hoping to visit the church interior as supposed to be open but the door was locked! We walked to the motte and bailey while we were there.

I must visit Snodhill one day. I think we were fairly close one day when we visited Dorstone and King Arthur's tomb

Today’s #AutumnArrivalSpotlight is the Jack Snipe…master of the stealth and wobble! 👀

These charming little waders sneak into wet meadows and bogs from northern Europe, bobbing up and down as they feed along the water’s edge.

How's that for a Friday smile?

Exciting stuff. A young male hedgehog now building a nest in the hedgehog house I put out. I've put a lot of hay in there and then put hay around and he's been dragging extra in.

You might see the wonderful work we have done for the Small Blue if you click on the links below. Even though the project ran 2009-12 weeks are still actively managing those sites & working hard at ensuring the butterfly continues to thrive in Warwickshire 😀🦋

Most common garden problems can be solved without the need for harmful chemicals 🧪❌

For aphids, try using a hose attachment to spray them off, or simply removing them with a cloth.
Butterfly Conservation's guide to gardening without pesticides: Aphids. Graphic shows a hose spraying aphids off a plant with water. Text reads: 'Most aphids can be sprayed off with a hose. Encourage predators by growing flowers such as Michaelmas Daisy and Fennel that attract hoverflies, beetles and ladybirds.'

Our National Parks are at risk. ⚠️

From the rugged Lakes to the sweeping South Downs, these landscapes define us and our future. They sustain wildlife, communities and our wellbeing - and they must be protected.

A future that puts them at risk isn't what anyone voted for.
A scenic view of a National Park landscape with a winding stone path leading through green hills and valleys under soft sunlight. In the centre of the image, bold black text on a red-and-black hazard-striped background reads: “DON’T WEAKEN NATIONAL PARK PROTECTIONS.” Below it, in white text, is the hashtag “#NationalParksMatter.”

One from the archive for #NationalBadgerDay.

Photo of a Eurasian Badger cub (Meles meles) foraging on the woodland floor. The cub is heading towards the photographer, head turned towards the left side of the image. The Eurasian Badger has a white face with a thick black stripe on either side, each one running upwards from the muzzle and enclosing the eye and white-tipped ear. The legs and feet are black, while the body appears greyish or, when the Badger lives in a burrow system (or sett) dug into sandy soil as in this case, brownish.
