#NoOtherChoice is a wickedly amusing film that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

With emotional and winning performances, a cutting script and great comedy, the film is a winner.

#Anemone is sadly a let down and a waste of the talent on show.

A muddled narrative, unlikeable lead character, no real drama, no characterisation to speak of and what feels like an hallucination brings the film down.

A real pity.

Bradley Cooper’s #IsThisThingOn is marvellously delightful comedy drama that ticks every box.
Will Arnet and Laura Dern are superb as the separated couple making the best of their situation for their children.
Funny, moving and uplifting.

Sadly, Kelly Reichardt’s #TheMastermind is an artistic road to nowhere. While I admire the director’s vision and the performance of Josh O'Connor, it fails to deliver anything of conviction.

This timepiece stutters with a self-contained, hollow story with aimless nuance. #LFF

I’m sure many people will enjoy the new contemporary version of #Hamlet

Sadly, I’m not one of them.

While Riz Ahmed and Morfydd Clark try hard, they are hampered by a version that leaves a lot to be desired.

A real letdown and not one to remember.

@RealGDT ‘s #Frankenstein is a masterpiece of filmmaking.

From start to finish, this astonishing version of the story is perfection.

An outstanding cast make the film a cinematic gem, but it’s Jacob Elordi who steals the film.

Cannot praise it highly enough

#HIsForHawk is a charming and moving film about life, loss and the aftermath.

Claire Foy excels in her role as Helen while Brendan Gleason is superbly cast as her father.

The scenes with the Goshawk are outstanding and heartwarming throughout.

I loved it.

#IfIHadLegsIdKickYou is a uniquely layered dramatic piece that is a brilliant leading role for Rose Byrne.

Concerning a mother dealing with more issues than she can handle, the film takes us down the rabbit hole as her sanity suffers.

Brilliant viewing.

@TessaThompson_x has surely secured an Oscar nomination for best actress with her wonderful portrayal of the main character.

#AfterTheHunt is one of this years complete letdowns.

A talented cast is wasted in a misguided attempt to spark a debate regarding issues that inhabit the world today.

It has nothing to say or make you think after the end credits. More like after the snooze.

#TheTestamentOfAnnLee is an infuriating film that is neither dramatic or enlightening.

When you’ve got a film that spends more time thinking it’s a musical instead of a true tale or dramatic story, you know you’re in trouble.

Colin Farrell is superb in the lead role with brilliant support from Fala Chen.

The emotion, drama and comedy mix together into a satisfying blend.

#Honeybunch is a strange mix between a Hammer House Of Horror episode from the 1970s and The 6th Day.
Somehow, it works well enough to succeed.

#Wasteman is a brutal, gripping British prison drama that doesn’t skimp on the violence or harshness inside the cells.

David Jonsson and Tom Bly excel as cellmates, one meek, the other a psychopath.

The film is raw and compelling viewing.

Daniel Craig is once again perfect as Benoit Blanc while the cast supports him to brilliant and hilarious effect.

With great writing and directing, the film deserves investigation.

#TronAres is a solid entry into the franchise without being outstanding.

It is a visual delight and Jeff Bridges brief return is a highlight but the film can’t match the first two movies.

The plot threads hint at what’s to come if the franchise continues.
