This is my art celebrating Rosie the Riveter and what she represented for America, for women, and for anti-fascism then and now.

had to abandon to fight for their country, as well as additional jobs building munitions and war supplies. As popularity of the song and the efforts of the women spread, images of “Rosie” began to appear including the
who fought against fascism by doing her part to help the American war effort against the Nazis.

Through both World Wars, women took over existing jobs that their male relatives
“Rosie the Riveter” originated as concept in a song same name written by Redd Evans and John Jacob Loeb. It told the story of a tireless assembly line worker named Rosie
