The forecast models can’t agree on the exact details yet, but there remains a potential for one or two storms that could affect the area and bring somewhere between 1” and 3” of rain to the region (likely on the lower end of that range for Camarillo).
A massive pattern shift is then forecast for the midweek, as the storm track shifts further south, bringing a chance for a significant storm to the region.
Along with the heat, models are starting to hint at a low-end Santa Ana wind event may develop on Sunday. If this develops, temperatures could reach the 90s once more. The heat and winds could lead to degraded fire weather conditions. We’ll keep an eye on this development.
Highs near 70 today will climb into the upper-70s tomorrow and the mid-80s by Saturday. The warmth looks like it will continue into Monday before relaxing on Tuesday.

Additionally, unusually high tides are forecast for Thursday and Friday, and there’s the potential for moderate coastal flooding across local beaches. If your plans do include the beach this week, use caution in and around the water. Swing near an open lifeguard tower.
A quick note for those of you who may be headed to the beach today: long-period northwesterly swell will generate high surf conditions this week, with large breaking waves and dangerous rip currents.
We’re still keeping a close eye on the long-range forecast, as models continue to hint at a return to a wet weather pattern later next week. More details will emerge as we draw closer to the projected storm, so stay tuned.
The rainfall is expected to remain primarily over northern and central California, but a few light showers or a bit of drizzle cannot be ruled out for SoCal. High pressure builds in as the low moves off to the east, and temperatures will start to warm as we head towards the weekend.
Good morning, Camarillo! Broad roughing over the eastern Pacific will keep a cooler-than-normal weather pattern in place through Tuesday. An atmospheric-river-type system in Northern California will slowly make its way southward down the coast, falling apart as it does.

Milder temperatures remain in place through Thursday as low pressure passes through the PacNW, trailing a cold front down which is expected to mix out far before reaching Ventura County. We’ll see increased clouds and mild temperatures, but no rain.
Good morning, Camarillo! The marine inversion has overspread the coastal plain into portions of the Ventura County valleys this morning, and with a strong capping inversion in place, it will be slow to clear today. Some areas may not even see complete clearing.
