BREAKING: We’re suing to block Missouri’s new gerrymandered congressional map that was illegally enacted mid-decade after a push from President Trump. The map splits up the Kansas City area and separates closely united communities, in clear violation of the state constitution. 1/
Campaign Legal Center will continue to spotlight appearances of corruption and call for independent ethics investigators to deliver accountability when the law is broken. Moreover, we’re working to advance legal and policy solutions that uphold accountability for public officials.
This just the latest example of a concerning trend: Throughout the Trump administration, a top-down culture of corruption has set the stage for a staggering rise in conflicts of interest violations, pay-to-play favors and a lack of transparency.
BREAKING: Americans deserve an accurate depiction of the financial interests of their public officials.

That’s why we’re calling for an investigation into senior DHS official Tom Homan and an alleged $50k bag of cash he may have failed to put on his required financial disclosure.

One of the highest-ranking members of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) — the Trump administration's so-called border czar — appears to be hiding information from the public.

When Mark Lee Greenblatt was illegally fired as an inspector general, it was another blow to independent ethics oversight. The safeguards meant to keep our government accountable are failing or intentionally being torn down. We have solutions: lnk.to/democracydec...
President Donald Trump has made it clear that favorable treatment from his administration is readily available — for a price.

We have compiled nearly three dozen of the most egregious examples of the Trump administration's corrupt transactions.

TODAY: The Supreme Court is hearing arguments in a case that has the potential to further erode the Voting Rights Act and harm voters across the country, especially voters of color. Here's how we got here and what's at stake in Louisiana v. Callais.
The Supreme Court Must Uphold Fair Voting Maps for Fair Representation
The U.S. Supreme Court is considering a meritless challenge to a new Louisiana map by self-described “non-Black” voters who are claiming that following the requirements of the Voting Rights Act is rac...

The core issue at the root of Louisiana v. Callais is the continued use of the map drawing process to racially discriminate against particular groups of voters, and the need for legal pathways to challenge and stop these efforts.
TOMORROW: The Supreme Court is hearing a case that could further erode voter protections across the entire country. We are urging SCOTUS to uphold the Voting Rights Act's crucial protections against racial discrimination in voting. Here's what's at stake.

We are committed to preserving the checks and balances that prevent any one branch of government — or any one individual — from becoming too powerful. That’s why we are litigating against overreach, challenging dangerous legislation and promoting solutions that will strengthen our institutions.
Taking Action Against Presidential Abuses of Power
The American system of representative self-government is being tested in ways we haven’t seen in generations, if ever. President Donald Trump’s second term has brought a wave of actions that challenge...

NEW: We're asking the court in Utah to block the state legislature's new law that undermines the fair redistricting criteria voters passed via Prop 4. It's past time that Utahns have fair maps, and Campaign Legal Center is continuing the fight.

Despite attempts to overturn this progress, the Ninth Circuit upheld the ruling, securing a major victory for Latino representation.

This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the progress made toward fair representation and recommit to the fight for fair maps nationwide.
For the first time in decades, Latino voters in Washington have an equal voice in state elections — thanks to a newly drawn district following a federal court ruling that the state’s legislative map violated the Voting Rights Act.
Campaign Legal Center and our clients and co-counsel have been advocating in court for fair maps for Latino voters in Yakima Valley for years.
Voters should be able to elect leaders who truly represent their communities. In Washington’s Yakima Valley, Latino voters have fought — and won — that right:

Complicating this matter, the Utah State Legislature passed a bill that would undermine the fair redistricting requirements of Prop 4. As a result, we've added a challenge to this troubling bill to our ongoing lawsuit for fair maps in Utah.
NEW: In the fight for fair maps in Utah, we just submitted 2 proposed congressional maps to the court that align with voter-approved redistricting reforms. These maps counter the Utah legislature’s attempts at an unconstitutional end run around reforms Utahns passed via Prop 4.
