That was unfortunate, but Lenoir was probably too excited to get the interception to think about getting out of bounds.
What a wonderful introduction to not seeing the game.
Rewatched Reds and Diane Keaton still dominates the film even when the focus shifts to Beatty’s character in its latter half. Beatty and Nicholson’s characters are both obsessed with her, and why not? She looks fantastic and is often shot in such a way that makes it hard to blame them.
I found Keaton’s death jarring and sad. I didn’t know she was ill, and there is no reason why I would, of course. She was such a unique actress and, by all accounts, such a likeable person.
Moore doesn’t fumble and seems like an OK return guy but catching punts at the 2 makes no sense.
I guess the ‘trade picks for DL help’ idea is out. There’s no point. I just hope Warner can come back, and play effectively, next season.
Setting aside the high-profile turnovers and special teams breakdown and Purdy’s turnovers and the absence of a pass rush, the decision to ignore the offensive line is coming back to bite them. They can’t run.
The 49ers had other problems - special teams, injuries, no pass rush - but Purdy’s performance gives plenty of ammunition to the doubters.
I am willing to be talked into it.
These things always have to come down to the last minute, but it can’t drag on much longer because the other players need to be signed. Kuminga has value, so I don’t blame him for pushing hard. But he is reinforcing everyone’s concerns about him. Sign, take the qualifying offer. Time to move on.
Correction: Even an ACL tear isn’t ruled out.
All that’s ruled out is an ACL injury.
This particular injury- turf toe - is much more common on artificial turf. The connection is obvious, as is the fact that Purdy was injured (to a lesser extent) on artificial turf. And yet the media doesn’t seem to put 2 and 2 together.
The stakes were a lot lower, but a backup tight end who has spent his career on the practice squad puts together a string of clutch catches. And then Purdy just tosses the ball into the end zone and Tonges, with a bad angle, cuts in front of the Seattle defensive back, jumps higher, and snatches it.
That’s why he makes the big bucks. He caused the fumble, then made the recovery. Pretty much by himself.
That’s a Cal Golden Bear saving the day.
It seemed he just locked in on Pearsall for no apparent reason.
I know the 49ers have an easy schedule, in theory, but they’re just too dependent on a few older players.
This is 100% on Shanahan and Lynch. No point in blaming Moody for being what he is.
That used to be one of Las Vegas’ appeals - ridiculously cheap food, designed to get you into the casinos. That’s gone? (I haven’t been to Las Vegas in decades.)
King of the Hill was, and still sounds like, a brilliant show. I am sorry to read about the deaths in the cast (only two I knew about).
If you had read Wikipedia plot summaries before seeing Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart, would you have watched those films? It’s fine to decide that too many hours of Lynch’s work is too much, but I would argue that the original Twin Peaks series is pretty mainstream accessible.
