I think it will slowly start to happen as people become more and more aware of this platform as an option
@NwigweViemma with a 2nd presentation at #ACSCC2024! We objectively evaluated AI versus human-generated composite narrative for surgery clerkship students.

TLDR - using the QuAL score, AI was non-inferior to human-generated composites, and often times was superior!
Recent CT i6 resident Dr. David Blitzer and ACS attending Dr. Ana Berlin at yesterday's panel session "We believe in miracles: responding to patient and family requests to "do everything"

Important work!! #ACSCC2024
@NwigweViemma presenting her and @SophieMayeux1 work on “Consult Bootcamp” - created to increase preparedness and confidence of our interns before transitioning into their consult rotations as PGY2s. Nice work!! #ACSCC2024

Thank you to all the @SurgEdFellows who helped with his project!

Excited for the next steps… how do accredited vs non accredited fellowships compare? Does program variability effect fellow outcomes?

Do we need more standardization? Or do we need more support?
Are you thinking about doing a surg ed fellowship?

What will you be expected to do? How will you be supported? How are programs different?

We explore the answers to these questions in the first study looking at the current fellowships in the U.S.

And great analogy by @_abbaskarim that just like slot machines - we need to sprinkle in positive reinforcement with our gamification because constant negative feedback can actually have an opposite effect on our learners!
Congrats to the team at @utmblstar for their work on exploring gamification for laparoscopic skills training. Education RCTs are no joke! #SAAS2024
Also another ⭐️ student to look out for in the ENT Match this year! @Nate_Verhagen presenting his incredible work with AI simulated scenarios for medical students #SAAS2024
New @SurgEdFellows member, @danieltomey presenting his work on assessing residents on their thoracic rotation using GEARS assessment. Nice work!! #SEW2024 #APDS2024
@SurgEdFellows @connieygan1 giving a great poster presentation - what faculty development programs are available to our attendings? #APDS2024 #SEW2024
