Something is bothering me. I did some research to try to get a handle on it, and it's still bothering me. The GOP passed legislation authorizing ANOTHER 5 TRILLION in the debt ceiling. Trump will make this his personal credit line, using it all up in just months, I fear. He's a junkie spendthrift.

Trump says it's highly unlikely he'll send Federal funds to NY because the Mayor-elect is a "communist." And this from a fascist. I don't think we should be funding a 34x felon who is using the office of the Presidency to run rackets and extortions schemes. It seems Congressional Democrats agree.

Where in hell did someone come up with the idea that you could deport people to countries other than their country of origin. If that's not cruel and unusual punishment, what is? This practice must be stopped. Sending people from Latin America to Liberia, FFS, is pretty goddamn unusual. And cruel.

I am personally sorry, and I apologize to our wonderful ally, Canada, for the treatment coming from this putative diplomat. We all know he's not a real diplomat, but simply another Trump goon, unqualified, grossly profane and lacking in manners. I agree that formal action is called for.

If US ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra keeps behaving as he has, the Canadian government will surely have to call him in for a formal rebuke. And if we don't, it will be a choice of discretion over valour, a sign that we have been cowed.

I celebrate my first day of curling season by thanking my wonderful Canadian friends for welcoming me back to the club. It's always exciting after the long Summer break to get back to curling, but I get to curl with Canadians, who are thoughtful, worldly, intelligent and kind. And great curlers!

The Democrats cleverly picked one issue, the huge cutbacks in healthcare, as the ostensible hill they chose to die on. But I could see using the shutdown as an overarching strategy to starve the Trump government, 'cause if you fund it, you're just funding a racketeering operation. Get him out!

Is it a bridge too far to say the GOP is starving the children of America because children that are weak from hunger are easier to rape? I would say yes, except that the GOP shuttered the United States House of Representatives solely to protect rich child rapists, so it's not an uncalled-for slam.

If the authorities won't enforce the law and the inalienable rights of citizens, I suppose one would have to resort to the courts. And if they won't provide a remedy for clear violations of law and civil rights, what alternative is a citizen left with? I guess it's self-evident.

This evidence of an ICE agent spraying people who are simply taking video is all I need to see to understand who the criminals are in this scenario. If you are behaving legally, you want video of the incident. Only criminals try to stop the videos.

And if the government is smart, they will adopt the resolution. Having a Trump on your shores can only lead to misery for the population. Maybe they are waiting to see what SCOTUS says about Trump's ridiculous and unwarranted trade war. As it is, Trump is making them miserable from our shores.

If some of you are like me, socially liberal but fiscally conservative, then you can relate to being doubly angry about the direction Trump is taking the US. Fiscally, he's a raving flaming liberal, but socially, he's a racist, sexist Neanderthal. Fiscal ineptitude coupled with moral bankruptcy.
