イズニック(昔のニカイア)の展示に『アレクシアス』の引用およびアンナ・コムネナの名前が…！

この秋のトルコ・アナトリア旅行で、私もアンナの記述の引用をどこかで見たと思うんですが(アレクシオス1世とヨハネス2世のコインのところかな…写真…整理…)、彼女の記述が現在も土地に生きているようで感慨深いです🥹

Hagia Sophia in Bizye (modern Vize/Kırklareli) in Eastern Thrace was probably the city’s cathedral. It seems to have been the burial site of St. Mary the Younger, whose life is described in her Vita (saintly biography).

ハギア・ソフィア大聖堂(アヤソフィア)、何度訪れても素晴らしい。ほんとうに圧倒されるスケール、そして積み重ねてきた歴史の途方もない厚みと重みが、足元の大理石から、世界各地から集められた柱から、きらめくモザイクから、窓から差し込む光から、こちらに話しかけてくるような感動が有ります
