Ea-Nāşir's perfidy seems eternal!
Comic

Panel one. Stick finger singing, "Raindrops on rose/ And whiskers on kittens."

Panel two. Same stick figure holding pot and singing, "Bright copper kettles leave/ ...Flakes on my mittens!?"

Panel three. Same figure still holding pot and singing, "Hey, these are stone with a copper veneer!"

Fourth panel. Same stick figure has put down pot and is singing, "I've been bamboozled by Ea-Nāşir!"

What fascinates me about this is that I - a 100% prose writer, who has never even written for games - recognize EXACTLY this in my own methods of 'how do I build a world/set up a plot'.

'Can it generate the event I'm aiming for, or events like it, with equal emotional valence.'

This is incredibly powerful and resonant language, to the point of creating genuine emotional religious response in me (a Jewish person).

Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”

ESTRAGON: Yes. Let's.

They do not score.

I am sad to have missed this game.

(everything bagel, toasted, scallion cream cheese. I am a simple girl in this one fashion.)

Tell me your bagel order and I will tell you *based on NYC cultural expectations* if you have won or lost your election for political office in NYC.
erinbiba.bsky.social
One of my favorite things about NYC is whenever anyone runs for office here they are required to disclose their bagel order.

So proud to finally publish MotL’s public finance strategy for Mamdani’s NYC. This is a collective labor of love months in the making. Now is the time to democratize finance at every level of government, no exceptions.

Photo of a Kansas City Chiefs press conference with Andy Reid, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes. Reid is wearing a gray suit and red tie with a lapel pin. Kelce is wearing a camp-style short-sleeved shirt with a bird print, along with a suede cap, and Mahomes is wearing a white collared shirt, a pink checkered double-breasted vest, and a pale pink tie.

you could buy a book about the horrors of an actual embodied artificial intelligence (as opposed to the horrors of "artificial intelligence", for a change!) and support local bookshops
