Cool seating in our soon-to-open A/B Connector!

Several of these propeller-shaped benches will be featured along windows overlooking the airfield.

The project will result in 5 new gates, restrooms and restaurants. Plus, an expanded baggage handling system for
Southwest Airlines.

She also spoke of the airport's $11.3 billion annual economic impact on our region.

The BWI Rail Station opened for service 45 years ago this month!

The station provides travelers access to both Amtrak and MARC Train service.

An extensive renovation of the station was completed in 2019.

BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport remains open and operational during the federal government shutdown.

Statement text: BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport is experiencing normal operations despite the shutdown of the federal government.

Airport services such as parking, concessions and customer service are not impacted as they are not dependent on federal funding.

Essential federal services, such as security screening, air traffic control and customs operations, are operating with no immediate impact from the shutdown.

We continue to work with federal partners to ensure a safe and secure travel experience.

As always, travelers are advised to confirm flight status with their airline.

A dignified transfer ceremony was held today for
U.S. Army Private First-Class Lawrence Richard Beard.

He was captured and died as a prisoner of war during WWII in Nov. 1942. PFC Beard is a Westminster, Maryland native.

His nephew and niece attended today's ceremony.
