Local pundits have been advocating they start using more jumbo packages, like using Anthony Belton as an extra lineman to get some movement to get the run going. Realistic solution, or just a bandaid to cover some of the O-line struggles/curious playcalling?
Always remember a friend of a friend who worked at the hospital where Ryan Murphy's surrogate was born. They were specifically told not to interact or make eye contact with Murphy, or face suspension or termination. Needless to say, this makes me smile.
Weird how divisive this move feels. Pundits are roundly dunking on it, but the football fans like those on the NFL subreddit are generally praising it, saying things like "Quinnen + Clark + a first for Micah (+ not having to pay Micah) = a massive win for the Cowboys"
Days like today made me wish I understood how to look up EPA/play and offensive DVOA work. From the smarty football pundits I listen to (and the never-reliable eye test!), they're quite awful at it. Happy to be wrong about it though!
LaFleur: Best I can is a Jacobs run up the middle out of shotgun.
I mean, even Gutekunst said a few months back that youth is no longer an excuse since most of the young players have been starters for 2+ seasons. At this point, you have to ask if it's the players or the coaching that cannot fix the procedural mistakes and general inability to do the fundamentals.
MLF has a habit of LOVING a play idea/scheme heading into the game, and really struggling to adjust in-game if it doesn't work.
What's worse is MLF is INSISTENT on running up the middle outta shotgun, and the interior line just cannot sustain blocks, so it's getting blown up and forcing offense in 2/3rd and long situations. On defense, they're playing a bend-don't-break style, but they also struggle to force turnovers.
It hasn't garnered much national attention, but the Packers' O-line is really, really not good. Jenkins' move to center has been a bust, Aarron Banks can't stay healthy at LG, and RG has been a rotating door of mediocrity. (1/2)
And a Beiber embarrasses all of Canada yet again

One of the first things I do when I wake up here in America is check to see the latest panel. I’m looking forward to seeing what shenanigans Moleman and his crew get into starting in December!
Couldn't help but think of this Simpsons clip when Todd was talking about going to the bar and noticing that people actually like the album. Feels like outside the Bluesky bubble, where users try to one-up each other to say how much they hate the album, the reception has been more of a 'meh.'

Yes, but have you considered he’s the *right* kind of immigrant for this administration?! Just need to find an Afrikaner with an American flag, and it’ll be plastered on all the social media!
Unfortunately, none of my major sports teams or most of the related media personalities have made the jump over here yet, so still have to go through my (highly-filtered) X account to check up on news related to Packers, etc.
In the words of a NBA Hall of Famer: Snitches get stitches
I’ll allow it if anyone want to put the blame for the Browns performance on the O-Line. Jordan Morgan at LG has one of the single-worst games a lineman has had all season, and Jenkins and Belton were also horrendous that game. The best lineman was Rasheed Walker, and he was just bad.
@aaronnagler.bsky.social puts it well on his live chats; MLF sometimes seems to call plays for the talent he wishes he had on offense, not the talent he actually has.
Sometimes it feels like MLF spends a quarter of the game just coming up with some of the worst plays, just to see if Love and the rest of the offense can overcome it (i.e., not blocking Watt on a slow run outta shotgun)
He has the account, but he's not overly active. Just checked, and he's live-tweeting the game right now on X, but seems to only post article links on Bsky.
I like MLF, but it seems every game he goes on one of these stretches where the play calls are just... odd?
Love Justis. Wish him (and really, any of the Packers media folks) would make the move over here, there's a real dearth of cheesehead talk on Bsky.
Now you're seeing the reason the Packers gave Nate Hobbs the starts at CB2. Valentine is significantly better in coverage... but that's par the course for his tackling.
