The boy was itching to do some upgrades to his 6RR. Chain and sprockets were on the menu. He went with a -1/+2 configuration because looking for 7th gear is fun I guess. Anyway, it’s all buttoned up now. Just need the snow to melt. :/
Scroll down on my feed and you see I have a bit a history with the TL1000 (owning 3 at one time!)
Much more effective and predicable braking over the 6-pot Tokicos they replaced. I kept the original master in place.
That’s how I ended up with this on my ZX7R.
Sitting in the garage with my other buddies that also hate winter.
Work on enough bikes and you’ll realize more manufactures used them than they should have :/

Rolled out of bed early this morning to hit Virginia Beach Bikes and Breakfast. Temp was not too bad and it ended up being quite a nice turn out. The 1986 VF1000R was awesome to see.
Someone was cooking muffins again.
Not just a meme but a parenting goal I managed to pull off. ;)
Kawasaki ZX7R - After an incident it’s being rebuilt for track duty.
Indian FTR1200 - Taking care of everyday hooligan duties.
Ducati PS1000LE - Because owning a collection piece is a thing I guess.
Just a wave to all the other riders out there. :)

Yamaha has a habit of not sending us their cooler bikes. The XJR1300 was the first I remember. Then the MT-01 and now the XSR900GP… we get the 900, just not the GP version.
I wish that bike made it to the States. Would love to throw a leg over one.
Went through that with my Golden. Not fun times but you’ll (and they’ll) get through it. :)
I had the smaller V45 (750cc) of that generation Magna. It’s what my father taught me how to ride on and then handed down to me. Good memories on that bike. :)
A few years back when my son expressed interest in riding I ‘obtained’ a 2003 #Suzuki #SV650. Like a lot of SV’s that age it needed a lot of love. It was an insightful project with my biggest takeaway being that a new cable clutch line needs to be lubricated before being installed. O.o
My son wanted to ‘get to know’ his #Kawasaki #ZX6RR a little better so we stripped it down, checked the air filter, cleaned it up and installed new brake lines (F+R). Still no work done to my #ZX7R lol
Just a few hours... It’s the New Zealand Embassy in Washington DC. My old man was working there before he retired. I just went to see him for lunch. So yeah, not the adventurous story you were hoping for. lol
Going through some old pics remembering that time I rode my #Ducati 1199 all the way to New Zealand. ;)
No so long ago I was driving through a posh neighborhood with my son and he said this is where he found the rug. I told him to keep an eye out for others after that. lol
