Generally speaking, about 30 minutes from any "big" city you'll find both "gods country" (a nice pleasant area of people who aggressively don't much pay attention to the world around them) and "oh gods country" (confederate flags, shoot on site, "we don't cotton your kind here")

It's always bugged me there's not a game that's the opposite of stardew valley, where someone trapped in a rural existence gets offered the chance to be a Bodega manager with a half dozen apartments above the store. And experience a rewarding city life, while subtly slamming rural living

Generally speaking, it's the idea that "one great man" can "fix everything" that gets us into these messes, I'm inherently suspicious of anyone claiming a single person is a unique savior, and I don't understand why that's taken as a bad position to have in a democracy.

(Like, I know raising kids is hard, but you signed up for that when you had one, food/clothing/shelter is the bare bones minimum, a little love and empathy wouldn't be amiss, but kids aren't toys/accessories you buy and own to make yourself look good)

Iirc, he started out as a mime in theater got his first major role as "M" playing the murderer. He had a bunch of health issues that gave him his distinct eyes & contributed to his soft speaking. Because his first movies had him play a sneaky foreigner he kinda became the textbook example in culture

Yeah I'm not gonna lie I usually feel pretty guilty whenever I get meat from Costco or Sams Club cuz I know where it comes from and I know it's probably not the best, but at the same time I also had to listen to my grandparents tell me a story about how one of their relatives got eaten alive by pigs

One of the big problems I've always noticed coming from an area that had the factory farms, is that people assume animals are raised like they are in the movies in these big open Lots where they all get names and ribbons on the holidays vs reality
