I wouldn't have been nearly so annoyed but for his doing an interview where he basically just whined that he'd never gotten to chair a committee before so it was his turn.

I wouldn't be surprised if she had TERFy tendencies herself but I'm almost angrier because her response wasn't even like, Rowling style hate or even a thinly veiled version but more like she was just annoyed that someone was messing with her payday.

I guess this isn't very meta about literary shenanigans but I guess I just wanted to encourage people to write not just stories about people but about the things they love generally and to affirm that this is a tremendous good to bring into the world

There's something really special about getting a new hobby/interest from something you've read. It's always good to develop new interests but to deliver that passion purely through text or I guess comic panels is so pure, such a triumphant distillation of what it means to care about a subject.

Yeah. I guess I meant more of like a confection than a dessert. My sweet tooth is pretty mild so I tend to not want sweets unless I am specifically craving them.

I don't really like pb&js as a sandwich concept but Uncrustables seem dessert coded to me and that change of context is weirdly appealing
