Day 15 of getting ready for my solo show, midday update! Finished the digital drawings for three of my paintings last night and this morning, I am going to display some of them alongside their finished pieces. Got a drawing transferred onto a canvas yesterday and have half of another transferred.

Apparently I missed a bunch of days updating everyone. So I am going to call this day 12 of painting. Baby is refusing naps lately so painting has been a struggle 😭. Getting closer on this one. Need another layer on the ground and background, then add some plants since I can’t help myself.

Last year, an author mentioned my shop on her substack. It changed my income so drastically that this is the spike of orders from that *one* mention last year. Word of mouth for an artist can change everything.

Don’t you hate when you finish a ‘meh’ piece of art, it doesn’t sell, you finally give it away because you don’t want to see it anymore, and then years later someone asks to include it in a book? AND YOU NEVER TOOK A GOOD PHOTO OF IT 😭

Does anyone have suggestions on some good additions to water that don’t include caffeine? My go to has been a balance powder from Aulani Nu (rainbow candy and shaved ice flavored) that they have discontinued 🙁. Trying to cut back on my Pepsi Zero.

Day 6 painting update, trying to finish a whole lot of paintings before my show. I have been taking classes with @kaitlund.bsky.social to help me with doing a dragon. First of all she is a great artist. She has been a godsend to help me overcome my self-imposed blocks.
