I only found the man himself with some help from Wikipedia 😄 Fascinating painting.
This painting is one of the most iconic images from Wales's visual culture – but can you spot the devil in the shawl? 😈

Sea turtle 😍
A sea turtle surfacing by a MASSIVE school of rays near Clearwater, Florida a couple days ago. Another post into the BluSky void. Maybe 2 or 3 people will see this one and my time won't have been wasted. I'll keep trying a little longer. #nature #animals #amazing #wildlife #awesome #ocean

Wikipedia editors trying to fend off the onslaught of AI crap have crowdsourced some telltale signs of LLM-generated writing; it might be handy for editors and proofreaders generally. Thanks to @ellenrykers.com for pointing me to it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikiped...

🐍 MEDUSA - Here's Looking At You, Kid 🪦

Before Medusa was monstrous, she was beautiful. And before she was beautiful, she was powerful. She is a riddle that defies solution, from a time before the shape of things was settled.

There's a REALLY quick and easy survey for the public consultation on the Basic Income for the Arts scheme - it only takes a few seconds, anyone can fill it in, and it could make a huge difference to arts workers in Ireland. Take a few ticks to places a few ticks here: ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/run...

Hey, as a librarian I need to tell you:

Our funding depends on usage.

So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.
I absolutely love this about the library, picking up books on spec. Often gems but if not, I just return guilt-free and onto the next book.
Oh thank you for this idea! I use the library all the time but never thought of looking for sheet music. And I just checked the catalogue and they have lots, I'm delighted 😊
It's so depressing to remember how good Google search used to be. I used the instructions here to hide that awful AI overview, it works pretty well tenbluelinks.org

🆕 AESOP II: A dolphin and a seagull were hurling insults at each other 🐬

Is truth a set of facts? Might something fake be authentic? Can you contruct a truth out of lies? And why are unreliable narrators more compelling?

This is good for hiding the ai overview on Google - doesn't mean the search results are better beyond that but I was fed up scrolling quickly past the AI overview to get to proper Web pages. tenbluelinks.org

Greetings and good morning it’s the Saturday rush hour with Mo & Letty-Lou
Me too, beautiful and compelling. I also loved Jenny Odell's How to do nothing - resisting the attention economy. Also beautiful and meditative.

Let joy be unconfined!*

After weeks of sleepless battle that nearly broke me, with the story and fables of Aesop, a Nolanesque epic trilogy is coming atcha.

"Aesop, Part I" drops tomorrow, Sunday, lunchtime, with Part II and Part III the following two weekends.

Or should that be "unconfirmed"?
No advice that hasn't already been suggested but seeing sweet dogs, especially older ones and rescues, is one of the best things about bluesky 💓
