i can only pray that the team working on the new fork of gzdoom sets texture filtering to off by default. not the worst opinion of graf by far, but goddamn was it irritating to have to turn off the "make doom look worse" option every time i made a new cfg file so I could set mod specific controls

Yeah, any machine is going to alter the actual amount of weight being lifted through the pulleys and lever arms. And then things like the quality of the machine, how well it's been maintained, how well it fits you biomechanically will have an impact as well.

It's an annoying amount of work, but what you should do is update the demo to accurately reflect the current state of the game. Your demo is one of the best marketing tools you have for people on the fence about buying your game, unless the demo is undercooked.
