A Global Coalition of 70 Civil Society Groups Calls for an SDRs Playbook to Unlock Emergency Finance

At the 2025 Financing for Development Forum, nearly every country in the world endorsed the Compromiso de Sevilla, urging the IMF to create a Special Drawing Rights playbook. Today, 70 organizations call for reforms to maximize global financial stability and development finance, including automatic issuances, needs-based distribution, and equity-based accounting.
