Right. I wasn't speaking specifically to cancer, but in that context I would say objective endpoints would be survival, tumor response, etc.
So many questions so few characters. Fact? Conditions without outcomes? Undisputable is that patient perceptions are important. But again, are they outcomes?
Can you do one on validity next? I recall an article on the validity of PROMs that said they were often uncorrelated with clinical outcomes. The article cited this as evidence of the importance of measuring the subjective experience of patients. Certainly important. But is it an outcome measure?
Sad. Eventually none will actually know how to code in R.
Is anyone using AI to help with documentation of R packages? I would love to hear about what you're doing/using. #rstats
