It’s not easy to give ourselves permission to to take breaks. They're easier to step into when the invitation lands from our colleagues and leaders. That's why we created Breakthru Bouquets:

One room, and 2-minutes is all it takes. Reshape the way you team works with Breakthru?
The novel, place-based experience shifts the mind into new modes of thinking, working, and collaborating. Meanwhile, break-taking is a team ritual that helps workers connect with the space they work in, and the people they work with.
This is what Breakthru Rooms are for. A way to breathe fresh life into an unused or underutilized space.
So, what if there were a space in your workplace designed specifically to deliver a novel experience and inspire creativity, focus, and connection? One that supported physical and non-physical elements of workplace design alike?
Workplace design is like an iceberg. Physical space is just the tip of the iceberg, meanwhile invisible structures (culture, rituals, and mindsets) lie beneath the surface. Real change happens when both are designed for; a beautiful office alone doesn’t guarantee a culture shift.
But, it goes beyond physical space. There are both physical (layout, floorplan, furniture, etc.) and non-physical (rules, rituals, events, etc.) structures at place.
Similarly, structures lead to actions. The way our spaces are designed triggers different modes of thinking and working. A space that’s variable, tunable, and responsive helps people connect, collaborate, share knowledge, and generate ideas.
Stepping into a new space can act as an intervention that disrupts our existing patterns, loosens built habits, and invites fresh perspectives. Novel spaces cue the brain to shift gears, helping us discover new ideas and explore varying perspectives.
So, how can we use space to support creativity, productivity, and connection?
Traditional views of human cognition separated mind from body, believing thought to be distinctly detached from physical experience. Now we know better, the mind and body work in tandem. The environments we move through shape how we think, feel, and create.
Many of the metaphors we use in everyday conversation are rooted in space. We look up to people, we jump into projects, we fall back on old habits. This isn’t by coincidence, it’s how our minds make sense of experience. We think with our spaces.
Our physical environments shape us, from emotions, to cognition, to socialization. So, how does where we think shape what we think about?

That means: sharper thinking, better memory, sustained attention, and greater creativity.
Regular movement:
- Boosts blood flow and oxygenation
- Grows certain regions of the brain, such as the hippocampus
- Sparks neurogenesis (the growth of new neurons) and synaptogenesis (the formation of new connections between neurons).
