The same way you said you didn't say visuals are everything, I never said these games are made to be fun, even though that's still the intention by many of the people working on them, and I prefer to focus on the good parts of the experience rather than belittle people as being "naive".
Because visuals aren't everything and the gameplay is still fun.
I already saw someone in these comments use the "souless" argument, and my unwillingness to pick a fight is all that's keeping me from replying.
I'm not looking forward to people focusing on the presentation rather than all the things the game actually does right.
This is one of those times where some elaboration is needed (though it may be best to leave it for later).
She does look a bit unrecognizable without the ginourmous twintails.
Now you won't have to decide on a Halloween costume.
I'm indifferent towards this game (partially because I don't trust my phone to be able to run it properly). But those thumbnails? It's "Don't recommend channel" on sight.
I know, but you'd be surprised (or not) by how many people will still take it at face value, including industry professionals.
Please don't joke about it. The discourse is already as bad as it is.
I don't hate it in the slightest, but this might be the most EXTRA design to come out of Zun's mind.

I saw the Pokémon patents when they came out and didn’t want to comment, bc I knew some people are gonna twist it. Lo and behold, Elon stan Florian Mueller, aka Games Fray, delivered a load of misinfo using incendiary languages.
(previous post embedded below on why it’s a questionable source)

Reacting to a Games Fray article, this post critiques Florian Mueller’s take on Nintendo’s patent amendment language—pointing out that terms like ‘even when’ and ‘even if’ are common in patent clai…

It probably won't be AS bad since a good number of people may already have had their fill from early access (instead of years of radio silence), not to mention those who will wait to get a physical copy or the PlayStation/Xbox release. BUT the timing is still unfortunate.
If what I've heard is true, this has a lot less to do with greed than with the fact that something about the Latin Spanish support in LZA does something to the pokémons code that makes them incompatible with previous games, which don't use it.
I appreciate the writer highlighting the distinction between patents and trademarks to explain how this isn't as apocalyptic as people fear it could be. That said, it's still absurd they were given the patent so easily - shows a clear lack of understanding of the ramifications by the patent office.
As you mentioned earlier, people who may want to replicate the anime experience. Or alternatively, for challenge runs (where you have to wait until a certain point to allow the evolution).
I agree overall, but just to point something out: you know how in Legends Arceus, you can evolve pokémon out of battle anytime as they don't do it automatically? So theoretically they could give the option to evolve a pokémon anytime mid-battle if they have the minimum level or required item.
Here's Branca, 7 years old. More needy than she looks. (Brazillian Cara)
At the very least, I'm willing to wait for just the remake of the direct sequel.
This reminds me of how in TotK, despite doing virtually everything(tm) before jumping into the endgame, Ganondorf was still a bigger challenge than I expected - and what that meant for people who fought him while nowhere as prepared.
Are the ones for Mario Kart and Splatoon really "Inexplicably toxic" if those are fiercely competitive games by default? (Although not to the same extent as something like LoL or CoD.)
It's not always I get to read a manga since its debut, see it tell the whole story it wanted to tell, and end on its own terms. It's a pretty good feeling.
Here's hoping the anime follows suit after the first season's decently positive performance.
