i could hold her for the rest of forever and it wouldn't be long enough. I'm fortunate to have this week off as bereavement leave, so I'm just trying to appreciate every single moment

And the chocolate is a good idea! UNFORTUNATELY, Sadie has tried it a couple times and made herself sick from it before. But I have always wanted to let her lick the brownie batter bowl. So we might do that

If you have ever said goodbye to a beloved pet, what is something you wish you had done in their final days?

I'm taking pics+video, getting pics and casts of her nose and paws, bought a collar GoPro so I can see her POV in the yard, a jar for some of her fur, plans for some meals. :(

CW aging pets

I don't have the details figured out yet but we, with the help of Sadie's veterinarian, have decided that it is about her time. The vet said that Sadie has been brave for so long but the scales have tipped.
