I would like to title this post: "Why Trump Won"

Because the electorate is fucking stupid.
Yes, I blame the voters. There is zero blame for Biden or Harris in this. This is all on the media, and the voters. The voters CHOSE to be stupid, believe lies, and reject facts.

I want to punch whoever came up with the phrase "the customer
is always right" because the customer is wrong, like really fucking
wrong, 97% of the time.

Customer: "I want the tacos with the hard shells"
Me:" ma'am we don't serve hard shell tacos. We have a soft flour
tortilla or soft corn tortilla"
Customer: "Oh. Then I want the corn. Those are the hard shell ones right?"
Me:"no, ma'am, we don't serve hard shell tacos. We have flour or
corn tortillas"
Customer: "Flour or corn? So ... which ones are the hard ones?"

Customer: "Hey the lettuce from the salad bar doesn't taste right."
Me: "Uh sir we don't have a salad bar. That's the decorative kale for our salsa bar. It's not meant to be eaten"
Customer: "Well if it's not meant to be eaten why are you serving it ?! "
Me: "Sir, it's decorative. We aren't serving it."

Customer: "What's this extra charge on my receipt? Why are you charging me extra? I demand to talk to a manager !! "
Me: "Sir that's the tax, it's 5% in our state."
Customer: "No you're trying to steal from me, I'll have you fired!"
Me: "Sir, it says right there that it's the tax."

Good god, the list could go on forever...

Customer: "Are these bananas locally grown?"
Me: We are in Michigan."

There’s a great book out on how that prejudice shifted - they had to “earn” whiteness by helping to suppress others. My paternal grandfather was one of those stereotypical corrupt Irish cops doing just that - though I’m sure he only saw it as “playing the system”

Partially true. Too many white women vote to uphold the white patriarchy in the misguided belief that they will be “protected”.
54% white women voted for this current insanity - over half!

A lot of that was prejudice against Catholics. They had to “earn” their whiteness by participating in suppression of others.

Most of the property restrictions on white men were voted out in the 1790s, although each state could set its own requirements.

Since then, white men have been the ONLY group that didn’t have to fight for their right to vote.

Quick research shows that most states removed the property requirement for voting (6% of the population BTW) in the 1790s.
Basically, this only applied to white men.
Other races and genders have an insane timeline; folks should look it up to see how prevalent voting suppression was.
