This automatic dubbing voice over happened when I was watching some YouTube video I have seen a million times and it scared the shit out of me because I was like what the hell creepy AI assistant did Microsoft just embed in my computer and why responding to the content of the video all of a sudden
Was grinding to try to release this video tonight but going to wait till tomorrow (found some interesting stuff to include, wonder how much is documented about the wild history of the development of this game...)

I’ve been occasionally breaking down into a mess throughout the day, but I am finding solace in the 4+ hours of conversation I recorded with Itagaki-san last year for a book we were working on together. They were his development memoirs, and I will do everything in my power to bring this to life.
Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno used a NEC MultiSync monitor at his workspace shown here #evangelion #庵野秀明
The caption just says "this is Hideaki Anno's workspace" and on the right side shows several varieties of the MultiSync monitor series with NEC logo at the top
Pretty hype way to advertise Capcom Generations
Gun smoke key art being used for a Capcom Generations ad in a Spanish magazine
Found an image that represents the sad state of console manufacturers in 2025 (Switch 2 is basically a handheld so I don't count it)...come on Microsoft, keep the competition going, stop outsourcing your hardware shit and do more design in house too

I might have to go to this one - been too long since I have seen them live

Hey friends. After having open heart surgery in Dec and another procedure in July, I've been left in 10k+ debt while recovering. During this, we were also laid off from Skullgirls. To try to help dig myself out, I have begun listing things on eBay: ebay.com/usr/mshinzan

I regret noticing the condition that my childhood comics are in, there is so much humidity here that some of them are almost like melted together (the ones that were not kept in plastic sleeves...), so yeah...that is why you need to use comic book sleeves...(but even the ones in sleeves are rough)
Jump scared by a video game advertisement again...is this a clown reskin of Tek War?
Trying to decide what N64 game to do next...it might be time...

Honestly kind of surprised how positive the ActRaiser video response was since I was worried I was pushing things into the "too loud" zone, well what do you know what dangerous doors this opens up for me now...
Well I realized after posting this the C64 was out in 1982 so to correct myself I guess this is "the three calendar years of timeline they decided to use"
The same issue of that magazine has a nice little summarized history of the first three calendar years of the #C64 including Jeff Minter game callouts and some interesting commentary about what games sold well and why
85 leading into 86 and comment about movie conversion games like Never Ending Story selling well 85 mentions "communications are coming increasingly within the reach of the average hobbyists with the average budget" and a budget modem, and the launch of the Amiga making a splash in July 1985 March 1984 is the beginning of the timeline given with several mentions of Jeff Minter games on this page

Australian game history...nice interview with the devs from Beam/Melbourne House about C64/Amiga LOTR Shadows of Mordor is in "Australian Commodore and Amiga Review" Vol 5 Issue 4 (April 1988). Some interesting comments about market dynamics for computer games and making text heavy licensed RPG
The cover to Shadows of Mordor by Melbourne House Paul Kidd, John Hazwood and Norton Truter pictures standing in front of a bunch of posters of games including Shadows of Mordor Some comments about how UK gamer is younger with a Spectrum computer but US gamer might be a 28 year old with an IBM Britain had a game glut and hard to get consistent sales whereas America had different level of expectation for the delivery and quality of the game
Ocean of America team supporting the release of Mission Impossible on N64... photo from Famimaga 64, the person second from right is Dave Dixon who is somehow called the development lead, even though I think this game was made by Infogrames LOL (maybe US lead?) www.mobygames.com/person/6252/...
Bunch of happy looking folks standing in front of what must be the Ocean of America offices in late 90s
What is the total cumulative work that has been lost by Windows deciding to reboot in the middle the night?? It is kind of crazy to me how hard it is to disable this from happening
What do you mean no one has uploaded the soundtrack to Guardians of the Hood AKA Pit Fighter 2 as a VGM??
