A steady diet of news can be pretty disheartening these days. Every once in a while you need a #PalateCleanser to boost the spirits.

Here me out Hollywood, @xanderberkeley.bsky.social (fellow Hampshire alumn) and @liamcunningham1.bsky.social star as fraternal twins separated at birth, and are later reunited. They realize their combined dead-eye stares have the power to paralyze evil-doers on sight.
I love the idea of officially naming this galaxy Clumpy.
'We're planning a sequel where we're going to do everything the same.'

I really liked the orginial film. Why copy Hollywood's franchise formula by turning it it into a risk-averse carbon copy? Might as well call the sequel Incoherence. 😞

Good cinematography usually is a combo of the right choice of camera angle/placement, good lighting techniques, and the right lens for the shot (wide angle, telephoto, etc.).
Production design was top-notch. Those sets were georgeous. Not a perfect film, but certainly a feast for the eyes.

If you want to see a truly stunning visual film, watch The Fall (2006). No CGI, everything was done in-camera. The bigger the screen, the better the viewing experience
Buckaro Banzai, Repo Man, and Big Trouble in Little Chine are also rife with great lines (in addition to being great films). I can't remember what I had for lunch, today but I can quote those movies ad nauseum.

I just rewatched Aliens last week, it's perfectly crafted on every level...
This is the narrrative that right-wing media wants you to believe: the SNAP program should *only* be used for what *they* consider essential - with no understanding or care for individual context/needs. If SNAP recipients aren't buying literal gruel, conservatives cry it's an abuse of the system.
Halloween candy is costing more & starting to go by weight instead of # of pieces. Pieces are visibly smaller than last year, which means more of that 'weight' is wrappers, not candy. We're spending more to give kids less. I hate this timeline
