Upon his release from an Israeli prison, Naseem al-Radee tried to call his wife, only to find her phone out of service. He then learned that his wife & all but one of his children had been killed in Gaza during his detention.

Radee was never charged with a crime

To make sure I understand, you're saying don't split up time release tablets, right?

I've been so perplexed about why sometimes my daughter's meds work great for her and other times do nothing except make her sad when they wear off. So glad you posted.

They say it's not a viable industry without stealing other people's work, but it sounds like it's just not a viable industry.

It was a perfect reply to a pretty idiotic question. So, I give thanks for Shirley and all the other wonderful people who put themselves in harm's way to do good in the world. She was a real one.

Canadian Thanksgiving is when I remember my colleague Shirley Case, a humanitarian who was killed by the Taliban when they attacked the wrong car. Why? Because I, from the US, asked her what people do on Canadian Thanksgiving and she paused, then said, we do the Thanksgiving dance.

I like how the subheading just lays out the guy's business model.

Public service messages, yes. They've mostly disappeared. My dad used to have a coaster that said 'American taxpayer' on it, because that was a virtuous thing. The More You Know is rightfully mocked but it had good messages. I ache for a good Dumb Ways to Die campaign.

In the 90's I stitched wetsuits for a Colorado factory and got paid by the piece, averaging about $15/ hour. A small shop with about 8 machines. I don't know if they've survived all this time - I think probably not.

CNN reports that Israel has refused to release two abducted Palestinian doctors, renowned pediatrician Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and Dr. Marwan Al Hams, deliberately excluding them from the ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement.
A digital poster features two Palestinian doctors, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, against a blurred background of destruction and smoke. Text at the top reads in bold yellow letters: “They are not coming home.” Below, in white and yellow text, it says: “Israel denies release of abducted Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and Dr. Marwan Al-Hams in deal.” Both men appear serious—Dr. Abu Safiya in a white medical coat, and Dr. Al-Hams in dark clothing with a stethoscope around his neck.
