I think one of my favorite deadlock things is there are multiple characters who are at the ritual to track someone down for revenge, and everytime someone goes "idk man revenge kind sucks actually it wont bring ur family or town back" they go "shut up I dont care revenge isn't for the dead" so real

I love the idea of an unstoppable force and immovable object being in love with eachother, its terrible for them the only possible outcome is ruin, but neither moves, the love is real, the feeling they get looking at eachother is real, they know the collision is coming and they YERN for it

truly hope that everyone who joined Deadlock fandom bc of thirst over one of the new characters gives the rest of them a shot. Deadlock's world-building and character writing is top notch, no matter who your fave is. it'd be a shame to stop exploring past the end of one character's nose.

i think probably the best thing you can do to enjoy fighting games ethically is resist letting these major events that get tons of cash from awful sponsors calibrate your expectations for all tournaments. smaller TOs are lucky to break even and frankly, back in the day, we expected less of them.
