I'm a 43 year old maori chick, and it's taken me a good 40 years (and a chronic illness) to not have to dress up to nip out to the shops 😅 My pakeha hubby was happy to go out in shorts or trackies, and I had to explain every time that I can't go out looking hoary or else people won't trust me
- Storm damaged roads costing millions to fix - Insurance companies raising premiums and even black listing some places - Growing tropical fruits in Wellington 😅
I was chatting to someone the other day who was in the meat industry (giggle)... They said that during covid, the industry gradually put the prices of mince up because people had to cook at home. And cooking a steak is hard, but everyone can cook mince or a burger #CaptiveAudience
The results of the referendums were split down urban-rural lines – six of the seven cities required to vote supported Māori wards, while rural regions skewed heavily towards disestablishing them.
It's insane. Long Covid absolutely wrecks your life ANY illness can cause unknown downstream effects on your body and life - Try not to get sick - Try not to get others sick - You see people doing things to keep themselves safe? Don't be a dick
Which is lovely and all... But it's still way closer than I would like it to be 😓 But at least I know places to holiday at where I probably won't get followed around a shop 😅
The scariest thing is that I think a lot of people don't even read the pamphlets, they just read what people are going off about on the local Facebook page and voting on that So if you have a lot of money, easy to buy votes (but obviously that didn't work well in Wellington lol)
PSA: Cookies are freezable... So eat half now and freeze the other half 😂 Pull them out one at a time, chuck them in the oven for 10 minutes to defrost and freshen up and you get cookies every day
Will probably also effect our tourism, along with movie landscapes and wineries... Glyphosate and methane don't really scream 'Clean Green New Zealand' or '100% Pure'
As someone born on the Kapiti Coast, lived and worked in Wellington, and now living in Poriura (currently off work due to health). I'm so proud of Te Upoko o te Ika Our end of the island really fronted up And now I see why there's so many shitty articles about Wellington... #YouCan'tChangeUs 😘
