Nice tune! Be glad to repost sort of y'alls stuff sometimes. Did you pick your name from the maybe after the Howlin' Wolf tune or after James Yancey Jones?
Ah, thanks! I know very little about her, I appreciate the detail! Will definitely take a look at her tour schedule.
A very #strong candidate for #father of #rockandroll: Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup. A significant influence on #elvis, his songs were also covered by #rodstewart and #eltonjohn. His resting place is in #virginia, another #famous bluesman from #mississippi

From #australia, Anni Piper is a great #singer and #guitarist, here playing one of my favorite #electric #blues #tunes "Untrue". She also lived in #cocoabeach #florida for some time. This is a #whimsical #song about a #marriage that never made it to starting.

One of the Kings of the Mississippi Hill Country Blues style, Junior Kimbrough. He still has family members that play. #raw #guitar #blues #music #bluesmusic #nowspinning #vinyl #vinylcommunity #oldschoolcool #mississippi #history #musichistory
I haven't checked out Jelly Roll in a while, on the list. Definitely love some Howlin' Wolf! And I'll check out the others!
Thanks for sharing! Certainly interested in knowing any favorite blues/jazz that was shared.
I need to grab more of her albums. Thanks!
Yeah, he pulled of some pretty cool unique sounds on his second album!
Yeah, both his albums are great although his second one is pretty different from his first one (definitely not in a bad way!)
A lot of great versions of Red House out there but this one is probably the best!
Off to discogs I go... Looking forward to checking it out! Don't hesitate to reach out if you are looking for any blues recommendations.
Sorry for impacting the budget 🤣 always up for providing recommendations.
Hey Magenta! I cross-post music as part of my attempt at blues ambassadorship, happy to post something you've recorded sometime.
#oldschoolcool. John Lee Hooker got a job at #ford in #detroit in the #1940s. His #blues #music career took off from there. And don't forget his #performance on the #street in the Blues Brothers #movie. Director's cut has the full #song.
