Great, so they can act like grown-ups with consciences and QUIT.
FUCK YOU, you partisan Hatch Act Violating pieces of shit.

Get ready for prison when this is all over.
Is it impolite to note that *New Jersey Republicans voted for this?*

I am so tired of saving voters from their own stupidity.
In addition to his concerns about war crimes, *look at what color he is.* Trump and Hegseth have made it very clear that they are utter racists who believe no non-white officers deserve their rank.
I’m pretty sick of that guy’s self-aggrandizing commercials, fwiw.
He gave Netanyahu a green light to obliterate Gaza for the past year.

He is blowing up civilian vessels in the Caribbean.

He is ordering ICE to use violence against immigrants.

He is sending the military into cities run by his opponents.

A man of peace Donald Trump is not.

Fuck off, Johnson.
Trump’s sheer stupidity may save us yet.
Because:

1. The violence would *not* be equal.

2. You would then be assaulting a federal officer and almost certainly go to jail.

3. In terms of winning over the broader public to oppose these assholes, it’s much more effective to expose them than it is to attack them.
Stay with me here - MAGA and ICE might not consist of authentically religious people
Gee whiz, my trust level is just sky high now
Add Mike Johnson to the list of creepy conservative pols that secretly fantasize about AOC most naughtily.
Conservatives are totally into her, just mad that she doesn’t like them.
I will never tire of reminding people of this. Weak-willed, self-loathing surveillance fetishist.
Good. Let vampire Goebbels twist.
Yes. Which is exactly *why* we should fight it, in numerous available ways: because we still *can.*

But screaming “we are already in a fascist state” is completely demoralizing and counterproductive to such efforts. Fascists *need* to seem inevitable. It’s the last thing we need to be encouraging.
And tonight, that same judge shot this down, too.

If you want to just wallow in despair, you’re giving Trump exactly what he wants. A pretty counter-productive way to fight him.
Good grief, how many times will you have to distinguish ‘Trump is a fascist in his ideas and would like to head a fascist state’ and ‘We are not yet living under fascism and it is completely counterproductive to say so’ before people get it
Exactly. It’s just the classic “presentist” bias: (mis)understanding the past by viewing it through the lens of present ideas and values instead of those actually operative at the time.
“It would be easy to say Reagan was wrong about this.”

And it *is* easy - in 2025. In 1984, it was not easy for Reagan, or for
Mondale, or for any other serious national politician.

Reagan was wrong about this. But in the 80’s, so was the vast bulk of public opinion at large. A different time.
That’s funny, I want it not to matter whether Russ Vought wants to go to work or not, since he’s in prison.
“I didn’t see it.”

Oh, bull SHIT you didn’t.
And for never writing about them. It’s his schtick.
