Creating mockups for the inventory screen. Stuff can have tags, description, name, effects, assigned colors. Most inventories wont allow for stacking stuff, but some categories do. This is just brainstorming right now. I need to look up references #gamedev #pixelart #gamemaker #slimeonline

Wish I had something to show regarding gamedev, but the last nights I've been spending refining the client / server structure, loading / saving player data and getting classes done for handling information bout entities. I am making progress, just nothing thats relevant to a player.

I got some more battle music done for my Game Boy RPG! 👾

I was composing this with the intention of it being the regular battle music, but I think it came out too intense. I'm thinking of swapping it with the current boss battle music. 🎶

Having a real hard time trying to convert the graphics from the old game to the style of the new one. Too many colors back then, no outline... trying to limit the color count ...this is hard. It often ends up looking flat. Any advices? #pixelart #gamedev #slimeonline
Today I did a lot of work on the server-side for #slimeonline. IO from file system is in. Fake login screen is in. Fixed a really bad bug that drove me crazy... but I really want to do something that can be SEEN soon... need some visual changes to convince me its worth it #gamedev #gamemaker
Today I added login / logout / room changing to #slimeonline 2.0. It all works pretty nicely. Also messed with a custom palette swap shader. I would want players to be able to select their favorite colors (from a 64 colors palette). Got lots done today and had a lot of fun #gamedev #gamemaker
So I rushed things a lil and tried getting movement fixed... and something weird happened xD got it sorted out, but I thought this was hilarious so I'd share it. Made some good progress today. Movement (left, right, jump, crouch, run) is synced! #slimeonline #gamemaker #pixelart #gamedev
Finished a first working implementation of the client / server architecture. Wrote a class diagram and sequence diagrasms in preparation. Packet handling and internal routing works, but it might take some time getting used to. Tomorrow will be testing and refactoring #slimeonline #gamedev #gamemaker
