…Zhir just wants to be loved despite his “flaws”, and Griffol loves Zhir FOR them. Not that being a monster is a flaw to Griffol, but it’s symbolic of all Zhir’s other issues.

Gently figuring things out like that, learning about each other along the way and being vulnerable enough to let your partner understand you physically and emotionally is part of the fun of it all.

Zhir is probably even a little unfamiliar with his OWN natural biology at this point too, having spent so much time as a human.
But I think neither of them would really mind learning how Zhir’s newer body works together haha.

Ultimately still resulting in them doing the do, but with a lot more understanding and intention behind it. Plus some time to figure out HOW to.
Zhir is…. A little different biology wise as a mermaid.
Even as just a mermaid with legs it’s quite different. There’s a BIT of a learning curve lmao

But I think Griffol would have immediately caught the insecurity of Zhir’s probably very awkward request, and they would’ve had a much deeper conversation about it.

It’s all Zhir, no matter what it looks like, and he loves Zhir, so he loves this part of him too. Honestly, I think Griffol thinks it’s nice he gets to know this side of Zhir as well.

And Griffol doesn’t mind any of this it at all! The reassurance and loving of his monster form, that is, in whatever way Zhir needs it from him.
He really would and does love Zhir in this form too.

That kind of reassurance from Griffol that he’s still loved and wanted in this form, in the form of simple words, cuddles or sex in this body, would be so important to him.

And Zhir in a relationship would especially seek out Griffol’s attention and reassurance in his mer form specifically when he gets into his head about whether he’s still loved or not, needing that validation in his “more hard to accept state”, as he thinks it is.

I think Zhir would probably actively seek reassurance from Griffol when he’s unable to keep himself together on his own, when his anxieties bubble over and he’s on the brink of yelling and crying over them.

This insecurity is not unique or uncommon in Zhir’s human form either unfortunately, it’s just yet another thing for him to be worried about.

Does Griffol secretly hate this form? Does he think it’s gross and he feels weird about it? Does he simply tolerate it and hopes Zhir goes back to human soon?? Zhir overthinks like CRAZY, it’s almost a competitive sport with him in that regard.

And while in a hypothetical relationship with someone like Griffol, who fully loves and accepts him in all his forms and all his issues in general, sometimes he still worries if Griffol is just SAYING he loves him in this form too.

He doesn’t know what to do with himself when those skills can’t put him on top, when he can’t plan around something, when the outcome is uncertain. Such is the case with showing his monster form to the people he loves.

Zhir is… weirdly insecure in general.
I say weirdly because he acts so confident and sure of himself, he’s talented and intelligent and is a high rank. But he suffers from low self esteem, and uses these abilities he has to put himself on top and be validated through other’s admiration and love.

Heliozhir is very… OVERLY worried and anxious about his monster side. Like I said in a previous post, he craves having it back but also knows how… repulsive it can be to humans. He was TERRIFIED that the people he loves would be scared or repulsed by him as he naturally is.

That is 6 characters out of HUNDREDS of ocs that I own.
As a sex-repulsed asexual, I only draw what I am strictly comfortable with at the time, and I don’t think I’ve ever drawn genitals. Not comfortable with that yet.

I draw these kinds of things with the intention of exploring characters in relationships that are very important to me. It’s a tool I use to explore relationship dynamics specifically. I think I’ve only ever drawn NSFW of 3 oc couples of mine.
