Unfortunately, seabirds are one of the most threatened groups of birds in the world, (15 out of 22 species of albatross are threatened with extinction!), which is why the work done by our incredible conservationists at BirdLife South Africa is so important.
Today is World Aquatic animal day! Join us in celebrating our amazing winged wonders of the sea. At BirdLife South Africa and the Mouse-Free Marion project, we have programmes that aim to conserve and protect these precious species including albatrosses and African Penguins.
405 learners were engaged in various activities including basic bird identification and introduction to the Bird of the Year 2025.
