Tired, but not likely to sleep yet.
Anyway - no more film fest films for me this year. Will ponder about my thoughts on the films I've watched, but after sleep.
I'm definitely not watching the Pillion trailer now....or on the train earlier...or anything. 😉😋😆
Oh & was nice to see Skarsgård at the Gala in leather & pvc! He always knows what to wear! 😆
Oops missed Deadpool off the Christmas film list. Sorry.

Also - no kink shaming here. If Pillion isn't for you, no probs, but no being an arse to anyone who does like it! Thanks!
Oh & it's a Christmas film, so it goes on the list with Muppet Christmas Carol & Die Hard!

I love my eclectic film taste! 🤣🤣
Recommend to anyone who is interested in this sort of thing or who wants a different sort of romantic story. Or just to annoy people who would stop films like this being made/censor them!

No Bechtel pass, as it's about male bikers etc.

Recommend it lots! Might be a bit less giddy after some sleep!
...scripted & acted by Melling. Skarsgård's quietly dominant biker, so micro-expressive. Love the other bikers....who I think were real bikers! It's alternate romance, but romance all the same. And about finding yourself & your wants, needs & boundaries.
Love it, will watch again.
So - Pillion, dir by Harry Lighton. This is the story of a young man who falls for a biker, learning all about submission in the process. It's brilliantly done. It's hilarious. His family are so marvellously & embarrassingly real. His journey from confused first encounter onwards is so well...
...purely on the description....Alexander Skarsgård is head of a biker gang!

I did not watch the trailer & other than seeing a couple of still images, I went in completely cold, only knowing the above...oh & that there would be sex & nudity. There was a sign outside the screen!
Ok....film 3. This requires caveats, because there is bias!

If I could've only seen 1 film this festival, it would've been this one. No matter how much I wanted to see Frankenstein & new Knives Out film, I would've still chosen this one. If I had a top anticipated films, this was top, based...
...relationship. Really enjoyed it. Would totally watch again. Wonderful film.

Almost all male characters, so no Bechtel pass.

Recommend catching it when it hits cinemas.
Saw: The History of Sound, dir by Oliver Hermanus. Paul Mescal & Josh O'Connor lead as music lovers who really really enjoy each other's company! 😉 Ok - not a spoiler that they have a relationship. It's a beautiful heart-breaking film. The music is gorgeous throughout & really underscores their...
...good as a charismatic leader of the group.

Passed Bechtel. Recommend giving it a watch, though perhaps not for everyone as some sensitive topics discussed.
Saw: Retreat, dir by Ted Evans. Fairly unique film in that everyone was using BSL or GSL for majority of film. Music, sound & silence were used very cleverly. Thriller. Hard to describe without spoilers, but set in a school for those with hearing impairment. Very well acted. Sophie Stone was very...
Right - going to try to do this. *takes deep breathes & tries to prod brain back into skull*

3 films today - my last ones of the festival. Enjoyed all of them, but all quite different.
My brain has slightly melted anyway! Having to concentrate super hard!
I might need a cold shower....or a nap....or to watch it again! 😂
I should post about all 3 films, but I am a little....distracted by the last one at the moment! 😂
I'm feeling....very warm!
I have a new Christmas film! 😆💜
Have grabbed expensive teeny ice cream tub, but not enough hands to eat it till we go in. Need to eat though!
Film 2 of 3 done. Just waiting to be let in for 3. Will post about all 3 after! If I still have words.
It's very good. You're in for a treat!
Having to do a qiock zip from film 1 to film 2 of 3. Missing films 1's q&a, which is a shame.
