Very scary since there is no consensus on what capitalism even is.

Authoritarians love vague laws so they can decide when and where and who against to enforce them.

If we're going into semantics, Bibi does not "drop" any bombs himself - he gets other Israelis to do it - or he gets Hamas members to do it, or he gets Iranians to do it.

If you don't comprehend how Machiavellian manipulators work, how can you hope to detect when you yourself are being manipulated?

1. You are conflating retaliation with defense. Gaza never had meaningful air defense capability.
2. I was asked how many bombs could Bibi get to fall without having/using his own. That is what I answered.

Answering "‪Raelee May Carpenter, Capitalism's Folk Devil‬" question.

Indeed the entire Hamas attack Netanyahu likely could have stopped in advance.

I have both a soul and the cognitive ability to analyze complex problems without oversimplifying them.

But if we make it simple:

Biden/Harris - resisted genocide, likely inadequately.

Trump/Vance - all in, promoting, resuming weapons, advocating for "removal" of the people, looking to profit.
billwalter.bsky.social
It is when that is also the person in charge of defending an entire nation from hostile neighbors.

I prefer the guy who tried to end the conflict and stop the genocide, instead of the guy who purposefully extended it, resumed offensive weapons shipments, and negotiated to take the land and remove the Palestinian people.

Jared Kushner sure seems excited about "very valuable" beachfront properties in Gaza
The former president's son-in-law also wants to move Palestinians into Egypt or southern Israel.

Biden eventually did stop supplying the offensive weapons.

Trump resumed them.

I'm not seeing the part where Biden or any American company benefitted.

Actually what I read is that it would help the EU with Russian oil dependence, and everything was underway well before 10/7 and was not impacted except for a pause after the 10/7 attack.

Amid ongoing war, BP and Eni among firms awarded gas exploration licenses in Israel
Energy Ministry says a total of 12 licenses have been given to six companies, four of which are new players in the exploration of natural gas off the country's Mediterranean coast

So now we have two leaders like that - who get along swimmingly.
billwalter.bsky.social
Maybe. These are tough choices when dealing with a leader like Netanyahu who cares little to nothing about human life.
billwalter.bsky.social
Good - I agree, 14,000 is a lot and Biden should have stopped them sooner.

I have included sources with most of my posts.

I didn't claim to have numbers - my claim is Biden (eventually) stopped them and Trump (gleefully) resumed them.
billwalter.bsky.social
And to restore full context to this thread, the main point was that Trump and Netanyahu conspired and sat on Hamas' deal for 13 months, so Trump could win the election and Bibi could continue to destroy Gaza.

It was ISRAEL that was refusing the peace all this time.
Joe Biden and Netanyahu were offered Gaza deal a year ago, says negotiator
Gershon Baskin says he got the plan on to the president’s desk but then learnt the Israelis were waiting for a change of administration in Washington

You have reposted my response post stand-alone and out of context.

The lie was "Ben of TFRY"'s post about Biden and Oil deals - the one my response was responding to.
grumpyoldprop.bsky.social
And Biden was securing oil deals for after Gaza was destroyed. But that’s ok with you because it’s slightly different from what Kushner plans? You’re a joke.
billwalter.bsky.social
Please provide the source of your facts.

I think you'll find some major timing issues at the very least.
billwalter.bsky.social
That's just it - Netanyahu doesn't want to go to jail so I don't think Biden could have.
