After writing 9 #scifi #books in a row, it's weird to be #writing another detective novel. There's something blithely ordinary about a story wherein most of the world building is already done.

Interestingly, when you get past that, stories are the same: character, relationships, plot. #EddieDaley2

This isn't a real cover or even a sincere mock-up. In my head, it looks nothing like Eddie Daley. I just like to visualize the finished product when I'm working. I write even first drafts in a book-formatted style. I'm around 34,000 words into the story, which I'm writing purely for my wife. We'll see if it turns out to be any good.
