the Wisconsin Bike Fed, who advocated for this, and this is what we got? If you wanted this, are you satisfied? I worry that this is what they have planned for the KKRT. They want the lane on the side with driveways. Surely, we can do better. The KKRT should be closed to through traffic. End.
worry about drivers exiting or entering their homes. They created walking paths for these folks, too, so they can walk to their street-parked cars, which also makes the lane bumpy. No one should use the lane between 6th and Whitnall. It's not safe. And where are the people who wanted this? Where's
and snow to seep in and cause damage. The south side has a grass parking strip, but the north has no barrier, putting you right next to traffic. These lanes inexplicably end into the right-turn lanes of the busy Howard Avenue. Plus, recycling and rubbish bins are put in this lane. You also have to
traffic to get on it. That brings me to the so-called bike trail. The trail is badly constructed. You can tell it's not constructed to the same level as the street. With having to traverse over multitudinous driveways, which is so bumpy and uncomfortable. There's a lot of opportunities for water
for right turns above cyclist safety. There's the conflict point where drivers have to cross the bike lane to get in that turn lane, and we know drivers don't pay attention. Confoundingly, this is where a cyclist would pick up the bike "trail," but a cyclist would have to cut across that turning
it's next to the curb. From Howell to Whitnall, it's next to parking. As you approach Whitnall, they opted to sandwich the bike lane between the drive and turn lane. This is not the only place they have done this, and it's not a comfortable place to be. In other words, they put drivers' convenience
Whoever approved, designed and constructed the Howard Avenue bike lane should not work in urban planning. I was walking the dog last night around 6:30, peak rush hour traffic, and here's what I observed. 🧵
Between 6th and Whitnall, they have implemented paint-only bike lanes. From 6th to Howard,
Yeah, it's definitely difficult without one.
I pretty much check mine every time I ride. Yesterday, I tried the feel test and almost rode out, but I checked the PSI instead. Glad I did because they were at 80 for 25c road tires.
Amazon is laying off 30,000 people due to AI and the shaky economic outlook. Question: where are people supposed to work to care for themselves or care for themselves and their families? Amazon touts a $22-$24 starting wage in an ad featuring a family of four - poverty wages while Bezos rakes it in.
No wonder everyone drives their kids to school. This makes me so angry. We created this society where we require seniors to drive because of our failure to plan from out behind the windshield. This is what happens when you create only car-centered infrastructure.

The Republicans don't want to reopen the government so that Trump can amass more power and they can maintain a stranglehold on government, regardless of what their constituents say.
That Bo Bichette/Daulton Varsho/whoever the fuck that umpire was thing... that was a gamechanger. The Jays would've score at least one run, which wins the game for them. Sure, they could've scored one of the 19 left on base, but why do umpire fuckups always favor teams who don't need the extra help?
Also, the failed umpire calls always favor the team that doesn't need the help.
Why does it always happen in favor of teams that don't need any help?
I never blamed the shark. We are interlopers in their world, and we should show them the respect they deserve.
If there's a cool breeze in the summer, I'll sleep with them off, but I'm usually on. But I also like to sleep with the window open when it's chilly.
Are you pro or anti sleeping with socks on? I'm definitely pro!
I love this movie! Joseph Cotten is so creepy! Herb (Hume Cronyn), though, steals the show. I love the kooky conversations he and the father have.
I'd be happy if they addressed it with all drivers, too.
Blue Jays are picky
about peanut selection
Are we as choosy?
Blue Jays insist on
proper peanut selection
Would that we were, too.
