That's the next level of dead Internet theory. Adverts are made by bots, and are clicked on by bots, generating revenue to make more bots. It is clearly a very self sustaining model that can continue to expand, and not at all a... what's a sphere with a tenuous surface tension?

My parents' generation was super racist, but they took pains to hide it from us. So a lot of young conservatives in the 90s and early aughts were earnest small government and/or evangelical types.

As I said, the overt racists and radicals had to form their own orgs.

All I can add to the “we reject universal masking” discourse is that it’s not about masks. You aren’t rejecting universal masking, which never happened; you’re rejecting having to think about wearing a mask, and maybe feeling badly about thinking about masks. Can’t help you there.

thinking about trying out the kde mobile shell on my phone. gonna have to build that one the real way since none of the gentoo repos have it that i know of. so i'm going ahead and compiling all the dependencies now

yeah, that's a great choice for a typical end user. ubuntu is similar and usually what i suggest to people who want to try linux without needing to tinker. debians have generally good hardware compatibility
