I’ll be vending at two new spots this month and I hope to see you there! Both of these events will be doing good things for our community, whether it’s Arable’s food drive for Food for Lane County, or We Mend Us fundraising for Black Thistle Street Aid, PRSG and the PCRF.
Forever in love with reproducing vintage Pride pins! These are a labor of love, heavy emphasis on the love. 🏳️‍🌈♥️

I hope openai gets sued into oblivion, and when they get to oblivion, the void lords banish them to the shadow realm, and then when they get to the shadow realm, they get annihilated by a blue eyes white dragon
As always, I will have tatreez patches at my booth with all sales going to my friend Dua’a in Palestine.

I am so in love with our community here in Eugene, and how quick we are to step up in times of need. Looking forward to the conversations I’ll have with you lovely folks this month!

Maybe someday I can visit my ancestral home and ask my ancestors for answers themselves. Until then, I will feel adrift and Samhain will challenge me to dig ever deeper.
I’m no-contact for personal reasons, and don’t have anyone to ask questions of. Having to scour through the internet only to find rampant misinfo and dead ends led me to tears last night.
The internet is full of copy-pasted paragraphs with no citations, and to my display, misattributed AI generated portraits. Our castles are now tourist attractions. There’s a lot of grief in being from a family that carries Celtic names but has long been separated from our lands and culture.
Samhain is a time where the veil is thin and we can reach back to our ancestors. I spent time last night digging through long-abandoned websites for more information about my ancestry, specially Clan Macaoidh (anglicized to MacKay) and Clan Dùbhghlas (anglicized to Douglas).

I estimate I’m about a week away from finishing the beading on this piece. Having a hard time with the last section but just need to keep with it.

A spread of my top selling repro Pride pins! It’s always so fascinating to see what designs trend and how long they’ll hang onto their streak for.

Find these and 60+ more on my ko-fi shop: ko-fi.com/bigbadtroubl...
My newest shop update is LIVE on my ko-fi! It includes a lot of tatreez patches, with every cent going to my friend Dua’a, who’s seeking an evac out of Palestine with her family.

Sharing an ask from my friend of many years, Ivory Jean. If you donate $10 or more and send me proof, you can pick any sticker from my shop and I’ll mail it to you for free. Open internationally! Please spread this ask around as the need is urgent! Thank you. ♥️
Finally, it is picked up by a gull and dropped somewhere far from the pebbles and the sand where it once rested. Who will find it next? Will they intuit the shell’s purpose?

Anyway, that’s what looking at this piece makes me think of.
A sacred shell is thrown from a jagged cliffside into an unforgiving sea. The waves are too choppy for it to sink, and it churns in the foam at the edge of the shore, flipping wildly for what feels like an eternity to the shell.
My latest Radiant Carpet piece, part of a series where I stitch a self-drafted pattern in various color schemes! I don’t often use brown thread, but I wanted a more basic color to ground this version of Radiant Carpet.
My next sticker design is inspired by one of the most haunting sights of my life, watching the beam of Heceta Head Lighthouse cut through thick fog on a dark night. This sticker will GLOW IN THE DARK!
Very excited to return to the Lavender Network for @queereugene.bsky.social’s Queer Community Market! See you Saturday? 👀
My first ever First Friday ArtWalk! I’ll be in the Farmers Market Pavilion in Downtown Eugene until 8pm tonight. :)
Working on a new batch of patches for upcoming queer events! I’m always running out of patches with this phrase on it, weird… 😉💋
I’ll be kicking it in Eugene all month long! Hope to see you around. :)
Working on “I Didn’t Even Get to Say Goodbye”, a trauma processing piece about how I spent the last night in my childhood bedroom, without knowing it was about to disappear forever.

This will be my stitching template! Hand punctured with a sewing needle.
