The @sifterhq.bsky.social crew was a big part of that. @gdig.bsky.social deserves a lot of credit for curating a space for people to learn and grow in a safe environment, while recognising that we’re volunteering our time on top of our daily commitments.

That was my 2025 PAX Aus in a nutshell. I didn’t come near to doing all the things I might’ve wanted to, but it doesn’t matter. I spent time with many of the people I love, and deepened many friendships over the course of an all-too-quick few days.

After PAX Aus, I keep thinking about my biggest takeaway from @geeofdee.bsky.social’s fabulous Brennan Lee Mulligan interview: that unchecked ambition will always leave you feeling empty. Joy comes from community, human connection and loving others.
