I presume that Mamdani is generally well educated and that digging deeper into American colonial history is his choice. Actually, having Haitian relatives, I did some reading about this history and found it enlightening. Not feeling feckless about learning.

I received a crazy-eyed, unhinged anti-Jasmine Crockett flier from Hillsdale College yesterday (unsolicited). Yes, I am in the district she may run in after Texas redistricting. These people are unhinged, linking her to Kirk’s killer, Luigi Mangione, Jimmy Kimmel, sandwich throwers, etc.

No, before ACA, my husband & I were rejected for coverage by UHC, Humana, Cigna, Aetna, etc. They refused to write policies for either of us. T1 diabetic (him) & I was refused for having a 1st degree relative with colon polyps. I had not even had a colonoscopy yet. No insurance at any price.

There was a large demonstration in Dallas the first time, three blocks from the newspaper offices but they missed all the social media notifications and said they didn’t know about it and didn’t report on it, until a couple of days later.
