When politicians make people prove they are poor enough to “deserve” help, it tells ordinary people that we aren’t interested in helping them.

Even when we can qualify, who wants to?

Actually-progressive policies help everyone. Billionaires get to use the library just like the rest of us.

I’m running as that kind of progressive, and I’m from Middleton!

We have radicalized MAGA folks, it’s true. But we’ve been organizing against them for years now & recently defeated both their candidates for Select Board. And even the wildest Republicans like our publicly-owned electric company.

ICE kidnapped a 13 year old legally living here in Massachusetts.

I can’t imagine what Josiele Berto must be going through right now: I am praying for her son’s safe return.

I will be at Burlington tomorrow to protest ICE’s crimes. We won’t accept the government pulling this bullshit in our state.

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we celebrate the ongoing achievements of Indigenous people, and mourn America’s history of genocide and betrayal.

In Congress I will fight for tribal sovereignty & support Indigenous communities.

Our country can honor its word.

This decision was made as if people like me don’t exist.

Traveling looking like I look used to be a pain in the ass. Heck, just getting carded could be a crap shoot.

The “X” on my ids fixed that. It says: “don’t worry: this gender isn’t expected to make sense.”

I don’t believe we will retake power with the party we had. I don’t think it would do much good even if we did.

The threat of a primary challenge gives politicians a reason to learn new tricks, and we can replace the ones that don’t.

I get asked often, “but what can a Representative actually *do*?”

We can:
1. Refuse to do what fascists tell us to
2. Make the lives of people doing bad things worse
3. Call every one of their bluffs

Until we regain power. Then we will prosecute the crimes & implement universal healthcare.

At the Masco town hall, an older veteran approached Rep. Moulton. He said, “we need you to be willing to be arrested before we are.”

Moulton didn’t reply at all. But it became a question I asked myself: “am I willing to go to jail to protect my neighbours from tyranny?”

That is the bar right now.

I just got a call from my rheumatologist. Because of the changes to Medicaid, which no longer reimburses telemedicine appointments, I can either pay out of pocket or drive two hours away every three months, which is not possible for me most of the year due to my work schedule.

Hiding the job numbers doesn’t give people jobs. Failing to release the Epstein files doesn’t mean fewer crimes were committed.

Refusing to govern doesn’t mean government is useless. It just means these people are incompetent.
