Republicans are trying to use food assistance as a bargaining chip. Democrats are suing to stop them.

Wisconsin will run out of SNAP benefits starting in November, leaving over 700,000 residents without food assistance. Local food banks are sounding the alarm that they do not have the capacity to serve this significant increase. You can find your nearest food bank if you would like to help.

This afternoon we headed to Stevens Point for their "You honk, we donate" event. All the donations went to One Big Tent, an organization that helps local folks in Portage County. I am proud to say the group got 265 honks which smashed their previous record! AND earned $855 for One Big Tent 🎉

We elect our leaders. The 3rd CD will get to vote for someone who believes healthcare & food matter more than tax cuts for billionaires.

People are feeling dejected about the Billionaire Bill. We can do hard things & keep going. I'm not giving up. I'm in this to win the primary and then beat DVO.

Today, the Wisconsin State Supreme Court invalidated the archaic 1849 state law that made abortion a criminal act. Let us not forget that when this law was passed, women in our nation DID NOT EVEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE.

Our first Sneaker Tread run/walk/social went fantastic last night. We had more people opt for the social part rather than the run/walk part but hey that's ok! We all came to together at the end! This event was more than a fun event, it's an opportunity for me to hear directly from the people.
