Sounds like the players are choosing to be pissed at the reaction. Would be much better to ask themselves did we do enough? Did we run hard enough, were we brave, did we take responsibility. Start there chaps, not with the stands.

Spurs Nov Malaise recipe

Chop 8 first team pros from the roster
Whip up the crowd by folding in a conservative manager
Prove mix by conceding possession from 80% of throws, goal kicks, free kicks
Sprinkle a handful of 30m buys who are no more ready than the academy kids they replace over the bench
Vic 2 🐌
Porro 1 worst game for us
Danso 6
VdV 3 poor leader
Spence 3
Pentancur 3 shared
Sarr 2
Berg n/a
Kudus 2 v half hearted
RKM 3 no threat

Xavi 3 time to man up
Richie 0 don’t wear the shirt again
Johnson 1
Cuti 3
Odobert n/a
Udogie 4

Frank 4

Against worst scum xi for a generation
It’s the players vs Its the manager has come early this year.

As per normal it’s 90% the players.
Hard for Danso as he did fine but right call
Should Frank be expected to do better with the players he has available. Genuinely don’t think he should. It’s just a very average set of forwards.
Spence being asked to do a lot but that lack of instinct to get forward when it’s on is hurting us tonight.
It’s a loss and there was some dross but tell me you didn’t see some better flowing football through the middle third - Bergvall brings so much that we need.

Lack of final ball quality at times but could hardly watch Richie up front… the bluntest of blunt edges for 83 painful minutes.
6th seems about right. Upside potential from the returning players giving us better possession higher up the pitch. Downside potential from hitting a run of teams who convert the chances we are giving up.
Hill Dickinson clearing out like it had a night on the Guinness 😂 👋🏻
Vic has taken shit from all quarters but what a week he has had
Messy. Winning good amount of second ball and the system looks like it could reduce the dependency on Kudus individual moments but Simons form fucking killing us and generally clueless/pedestrian in possession all over the pitch.
Tactically v different…! Let’s see 🤞🏼
Kamala Harris is no stranger to delusion is she 😬 #bbclaurak
Why are pro footballers turning their backs on shots these days!! It’s mental.
the lack of instinct, endless dead-end passing, poor quality when he does attempt anything more ambitious, not showing, unreliable 1st touch… it’s a shocking list

the contract extension must be about asset value. Club is terrible on maintaining a performance culture and moving players on.
& Bentancur turned fully sideways when buendia struck it…

-halving his chance of blocking
-making the hands behind back move even more pointless as they swivel around to the front 🤦‍♂️
Then in the time it takes Buendia to get nr the D, Bentancur has taken a weird diagonal line rather than pressuring the man and Micky has hardly moved
Watched it back now and had a close look at the goals.

The lack of reaction at the back for the second goal is hard to believe…

1) we’re playing a double pivot (with all the pain that is brings) and neither of them is close to the ball *5 seconds* after cash plays the pass. CBs also nowhere.
Looked like we stole the jam out of our own donut today. High energy, direct start for 7 mins, with the crowd lively and the Villa goal under plenty of threat.

Followed by 10 mins of knocking it sideways which killed the energy and the rhythm stone dead.
My block definitely not impressed with how long it took Frank to get Muani and Bergvall on. Must have been there ready 6-7 mins before the goal.
For obvious reasons I can’t like that comment but I hear where you are on Ronay.
Ronay is welcome to write whatever he wishes. But when someone shows you who they are believe them.

The hit job on AP is beyond toxic. It drips with the 4th estate’s entitlement to write & say anything they want while demanding their subject just quietly take it. AP is the man in the arena Barney.
Woolwich had a few shots but quality in open play was poor again.

Think we’ve seen this movie before: City inevitably reeling them in; Teta does an emotional; their bottle goes pop.
