What was the first game you remember playing?

Mine was a slightly obscure game called Castles II when I was about 5. My dad had bought a PC with MS-DOS and I used to watch him play, then try it myself. Of course, I was hopeless (and still am! The game is on Steam now).
I went with Truss largely because I'd played the first two games before this one. She's there throughout, whereas Yennefer just...isn't. If you only play the games and don't read the books, you barely know who she is lol
Oof, that was probably the toughest fight in the game for me, especially on Tactician mode. Good luck!
Is it just me, or does Augustine de Vries from Outer Worlds 2 look kind of like Sandra Bullock? ๐Ÿ˜…
Probably the latter. I brought my kettle with me from the UK to Japan and it was so slow I ended up never using it again. I wasn't even really aware of the different voltage levels before then.
No. I've always boiled in the saucepan. Didn't know that was a thing people did. ๐Ÿ˜…
Sorry if my post implied I thought you were! I definitely didn't intend that. I meant anyone who might come after and point it out in a more snarky way.
No worries! I know people can be jerks over stuff like this so thought I'd point it out before someone else did.

I'm sorry to hear you have such difficulties since COVID. I can't imagine having Long COVID and dealing with it every day. I hope one day they can treat the symptoms.
Glad I'm not the only one who read it that way until I saw the replies ๐Ÿ˜…
I think the confusion is because the corrected post still says 2013 ๐Ÿ˜…

But we could all work it out just fine. It's obvious what you meant.
Same. It's definitely my favourite game of this year, and probably top 3 open world. Definitely top 5. Trying to think of the top of my head of what else would be up there...probably RDR2, Witcher 3, Fallout: NV, GTA: SA. Of the ones I've completed, anyway.
Egg? Who doesn't know that one at least? ๐Ÿ˜‚

I laugh but I really should get back to learning kanji...
Has anyone played 'Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days'? I'm so tempted as it's on sale and the reviews all say it's essentially 'This War of Mine' but with zombies, and I loved that game. But it's in Early Access, so I'm torn.
Same! I can't even remember how I found out about it (probably just a page on Steam when looking through Square Enix games) as it quietly released with no marketing, but I'm glad I have it a go.

It's just horror enough to be creepy without being overwhelming. I'm too cowardly for proper horror ๐Ÿ˜‚
Tiny hands, tiny feet, tiny body. Good thing I live in Japan where most of the clothes are made to fit ๐Ÿ˜‚ My tall friends have such issues finding stuff lol

As much as the Switch 2 looks cool, I'll miss the compact form of the first one if I ever upgrade.
Yeah, I understand. Having a PC is a commitment, both in terms of time and money with the upgrades. I love having one, but upgrading can be a vicious addiction.

I also hate the stick positions on the deck (and XBox/Switch controllers) having grown up with Playstation. Much better for tiny hands lol
Speaking of The Nonary Games, they're also on sale for 80% off. Great puzzles and so many branching paths. I loved some of the characters back in the day and keep thinking I should replay them some time.
*the PS2. God, I hate touchscreens and the lack of an edit button...
For any fans of visual novels with intriguing narratives, branching paths and multiple endings (you need to experience these before figuring out the 'true' ending, similar to the The Nonary Games: 999), Paranormasight is 50% right now!

Set in Tokyo, it deals with horror legends and curses.
Oops, I meant after *Shigeru stepped down. Kishida was before him. It's hard to keep track. ๐Ÿ˜…
You mean Sanae Takaichi? She's the new PM after Kishida stepped down. First female PM in Japan.
Yeah, that's fair! And sensible. I finished school in 2005 and went to uni till 2009. Was playing through PS2 through school with friends. I miss those days... ๐Ÿฅฒ

I take it you don't have a gaming PC with Steam? All of the FF games are on there.
I was devastated when I found out this was true as my body did not react at all to the COVID vaccines (just a sore arm) and barely to actual COVID (bad sore throat). I never get a temperature, even with fever symptoms, which I always thought was a good sign.

But no. ๐Ÿฅฒ
To be fair the PS3 wasn't nearly as great as the PS2 era IMO, although it did start some.awesome franchises (Uncharted, TLoU to list two of my favourites). At least they're still playable on modern consoles, though - hopefully you've had a chance to catch up! ๐Ÿ˜
Yeah, the spiders are what puts me off. Could not handle the Huntsman ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I think I'd drop dead of fright there and then haha
