I'm in Missouri and I doubt it. This is a state that voters approved expansion of Medicaid, sick leave, legal weed, and abortion rights only to elect officials who have, or are trying to repeal those initiatives.

Agriculture is big, and most voted for Trump because they knew they'd get bailouts.

I want to know why it isn't a bigger deal that a Fox host called for the "involuntary lethal injection" of people who have mental illness.
If that's the case they are doing something right.
I work with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. They are high risk, it was the leading cause of death for people with IDD in 2020, and we have COVID cases already. I want to be vaccinated to protect them. Even if it doesn't stop transmission it shortens it.

The Trump administration spent $167,000 to destroy $9.7 million worth of birth control and other contraceptives that were supposed to go to low-income countries. Imagine hating helping so much that you’d actually spend money just to make sure others don’t get help.

The Missouri GOP saying they want to reflect voters is laughable.

Missouri voters, who mostly vote Republican (St. Louis City here, it is endlessly frustrating) approved sick leave and abortion rights last fall. The legislature has rolled back sick leave and is fighting to ban abortion again.
They don't care what voters want. Missouri voters (I am one) approved sick leave and abortion rights last fall, and the Missouri legislature has rolled back one and is fighting the other. The GOP said MO voters, who mostly vote red, are "like a teenager with a checkbook".

1/ Happy Monday! While summer winds down and my daughter heads to first grade (cue the usual mix of pride and twenty forgotten forms), #publichealth is heating up. From Covid-19 to radioactive shrimp and flying maggots—here’s what’s happening and what it means for you 👇
I was pistol whipped and carjacked in front of my home about a week before Big Balls. It sucked. Life goes on though and there is a suspect in custody. Even if that hadn't been the case, I wouldn't be ok milking it to justify an authoritarian take over.

"The DC resistance isn’t manifesting this week as recognizable members of Congress marching up and down Pennsylvania Avenue..., but as an array of ordinary DC residents documenting what’s happening in their neighborhoods and mobilizing pop-up actions based on the information being shared."
The resistance is active in DC—you’re just not looking closely enough
It's not massive protests on Pennsylvania Avenue, but happenstance hecklers and Nextdoor posts.

The atoms within you once burned in the heart of stars, chaotic and lifeless, and yet here you are, after half a dozen or so billion years, arranging them into love, questions, and hope. You are a miracle, a thermodynamic miracle.
