Advertising agencies listen for cheery melodies but seldom hear the lyrics, or at least look for ways to undercut them. Two Target commercials were Fortunate Son, cutting the lyrics before “That ain’t me.” And Devo’s Beautiful World, using It’s a Beautiful World for You and cutting “It’s Not For Me”
