Time to return back to the world of Left Behind The Kid! Looking at book 3 of the series. This one is actually a high point so far for me. youtu.be/ereKDLI9gbs?...

I got a Divinely Trashy special episode today! Looking at the first Forbidden Doors book by Bill Myers. Myers is best known for being a co-creator of McGee and Me, but he is also a prolific Christian children's author. Lets check out his take on the 90's YA horror boom. youtu.be/HFYds3Od15w?...

That actually sounds right up my alley. I'm actually looking to explore more fantasy. I'll have to hunt it down when it comes out.
New video on the channel! How this movie never even got a DVD release, I have no idea. From the people who brought you Ghoulies, I bring you the amazing Stella Stevens as The Granny!

How did I just hear that Jilly Cooper passed? I read Score last summer and loved it, and devoured the Rivals series. With her passing a particular age of fun, trashy literature has come to an end. Her talent will be missed.
One thing I am finding interesting while building my little Youtube channel is seeing what hits, and has legs. Like, movie related videos don't do much in long form (good on shorts, though). Books, especially old school middle grade seem to actually click. Might start rethinking the channel's goals.
It has taken years to basically re-find myself. I don't know when I lost me, but it feels nice to be connecting back with my own creative, weird self.
@fullmoonfeatures.bsky.social gotta thank you guys for years of amazingly fun entertainment!
Finished the third Animoprhs book, and... How did I not know how emotionally intense these damn books were? Tears, people. Not a lot, but enough.
I think the only thing that got raptured were my brain cells after what I have witnessed in the news over the last few days. Ya'll sure we didn't just skip to the Tribulation?
Now it is time for my brain to settle back down. The last few days have been fun, but the anxiety induced quasi-mania is getting exhausting.
Honestly, for me, re-reading the Left Behind stuff has been eye opening, and almost therapeutic for me. And no, I have not had (nor do I plan to) a return to Jebus moment.
I have actually been re-reading a lot of old Christian fiction as a way to kind of confront a lot of that damage. Peretti's The Oath is a re-read on that list. Moral of that one... You cheat? You may get eaten by a dragon!
I was a pre-teen/teen in Christian schools during the Rapture fest that was the original release of the Left Behind books. As a little gay kid it did so much psychological damage. I'm still dealing with that crap. My brain still had a minor panic glitch when I saw all this pop up. Okay now, though.
That would mean the rapture already happened. At least according to those dang books. Timeline wise the rapture is sign 1 of the end. Everything that everyone keeps going on about happens POST rapture, as a sign of the beginning of the Tribulation. Now... Fun question. Does Trump have Roman lineage?
Also, if we are using Left Behind as the prophecy template, everything with Israel happens POST Rapture. It doesn't signal the harvest of believers, it signals the start of the Tribulation. In the books it is when Israel signs a peace treaty with the antichrist.
If the Rapture is going to happen like in Left Behind it will be boring... And feature two fire breathing Jewish men named Eli and Moishe.
Although now I have an urge to listen to rewatch the truly camp Thief in the Night again...
I actually started reading the Left Behind kids books for the heck of it recently. I'm also familiar with the Thief in the Night films. Not a believer, haven't been for years, but if I remember correctly one of the most important parts of all of this is that NO ONE WILL SEE IT COMING! Come on guys.
Who is saying the rapture is happening Wednesday, and why is it suddenly happening when I'm deep diving the damn Left Behind kids books? So much religious trauma resurfacing...
Need a break from the depressing hellscape that is our current existence? Come on over to Trash With a Capital T. I've got Sweet Valley High for ya!
