#Temnovember a study of the Jurassic temnospondyl Sinobrachyops, which lived alongside mamenchisaurs. Smaller than I picture temnos! Partly inspired by the work of cqin & Emily Stepp. Larva is speculative & not to scale
#temnovember2025 day 2: Acroplous
And now for the second day of #temnovember, we have #Acroplous, an a basal dvinosauroid from lower permian of northamerica, known from multiple localities and specimens

#temnovember2025 day 1: Adamanterpeton
And so the annual madness of #temnovember beging with #Adamanterpeton, a small basal cochleosaurid from the late carboniferous of Linton

Since we are still on #croctober here is a little Benggwigwishingasuchus eremicarminis (jesus what a name)

Aditionally, here are the lists from other year, in case someone wants to do something diferent (or wants to checks more cool temnos:D )
Well here it is, the list for this year #temnovember :D, as always, everyone is welcome to participate, see y'all in a week or so;)
2. A remaster of the first list (with all the "famous" temnospondyls); 3. temnovembern't, where instead of temnospondyls, we take a look at other tetrapodomorphs and basal tetrapods
(sorry for no poll, i dont know how to make them on BlueSky)
November is getting closer, and so is #temnonovember, however, due to this being my fifth year, the more iconic and diverse temnos are done, leating to the idea of maybe doing something diferent this year, with posible options being:1.Regular temnovember list of new taxa (cont)

Was sketching this idea when i remember that lungfishes also dont have anal fins, meaning that both Dipnomorpha and Tetrapodomorpha lose their anal fins independently, what bunch of little weirdos:)

Good morning, here's a quick sketch I put together. I don't usually do line work since it's not my strong suit, but I'm making these heads for something else and thought—why not share them? Hope you like them!

#Paleoart
Hey i was just looking at early Stegocephalians late at night (as a normal person does), when i notice that Elpistostege has an anal fin, now i im wondering a) when did this feature disapear ?and b) should we reconstrud animals like Tiktaalik and Panderichthys with it?

I’m thinking about some of the coolest reptiles of the Triassic: Phytosaurs! No, these AREN’T crocodiles. They are not even closely related to them. Phytosaurs evolved a body plan similar to crocodilians completely separately from them and WAY before they appeared in the fossil record
